Abstract

The objective of this work is to explore the effect of beliefs of computational inefficacy on the levels of computational anxiety and computational fatigue in secretaries. The study used data from a sample of secretaries of a Chilean university and the analysis with models of structural equations based on variance. According to the results of the analysis, the beliefs of computational inefficacy have direct positive effects on the levels of computational anxiety, and the levels of computational fatigue. From a practical perspective, the findings of this study compel managers to design training programs that increase the computational self-efficacy of their administrative staff, reducing psychosocial risks and tensions associated with computational anxiety and computational fatigue. © 2020, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
