There is a multi-level relevance between the subject matter, modeling and implication of architectural decoration pattern and architectural type, space and units. The related research is an important supplement to the systematic research of traditional architecture. In view of this, on the basis of detailed investigation and surveying of the research specimens, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is applied in this study to divide hierarchy of the decorative patterns and the architectural identity, compares the weights of the relevance between the hierarchies, clarifies the complex relationship between the decorative patterns and architecture, and studies the architectural form and its cultural connotation from the architectural decoration.
