Abstract

The dramatic increase in number of elderlies worldwide affected their quality of life because of the higher risk of disease, disability, and dementia 1. One of the major challenges facing elderly population is functional impairment. Frailty is one of these challenges which is defined as a clinical state in which there is an increased vulnerability to stressors, occur due to decreased physiological reserves. Frailty is an important contributor to functional decline and early mortality in older adults, and frailty is not part of the normal ageing process
