Der Deutschunterricht im kamerunischen Kontext oder die Chronik eines (post) kolonialen Gedächtnisses. Untersuchung zu einem politischen Machtinstrument

Abstract
Several cameroonian scientists have questioned and suggested in didactical and historical approaches teaching methods developed and implemented in Cameroon. Further investigations on the same topic require a change of paradigm. Therefore German proves to be a place of memory, a colonial inheritance and a diplomatic tool. A postcolonial approach can help answer the questions: How does the teaching of German reveal the history of Cameroon? How does German constitute a colonial inheritance that should be safeguarded? Which role does it play in the diplomatic relationship between Cameron and the former colonial masters?
