The first and second chapters are devoted to understanding these concepts and naming the most widely used definitions and approaches, the third chapter follows by putting a perspective on the relationship between these two phenomena, namely the health-related causality to socioeconomic status and the causality from socio-economic status to health. The fourth chapter elaborates on the possible explanations of the mediation of the relationship between health and socio-economic status. A separate part is devoted to the psychosocial cause of health differences based on SES and the social distribution of stress. The practical part presents a proposal of research of the relationship between the achieved level of education, financial income and their combination and subjective evaluation of health of inhabitants of the Slovak Republic, conceptually anchored in the work of Slovak authors. The aim is to continue exploring health inequalities in the country.
