An automated ultrasonic device to measure elastic constants

, and . Measurement Science and Technology, 5 (11): 1382 (1994)

Abstract

A not overly expensive and fast to assemble arrangement for measuring ultrasonic velocity changes is discussed. It should be of interest to all who have a Matec (or other) HF pulse generator and receiver at their disposal as well as a digital storage oscilloscope. The measurements shown in this work were made on doped NH 4 LiSO 4 .
