Epidemiological data, causes, mechanisms of development, clinical picture and methods of pharmacotherapy of neuropathic pain in radiculopathy are presented. An algorithm for instrumental diagnostics and treatment is described. Its clinical efficacy in neuropathic pain syndrome has been studied in a number of clinical randomized trials that demonstrated its analgesic effect, as well as the ability to cause regression of concomitant psychosomatic disorders and insomnia in patients with lumbosacral radiculopathy.
