As the global population ages, understanding the factors that
influence mental health in older adults becomes increasingly
critical. Among these factors, social support emerges as a
significant determinant of well-being in aging populations.
Social support encompasses various forms of assistance,
companionship, and validation from social networks, including
family, friends, and community. This article explores the
profound impact of social support on the mental health of
older adults and discusses its implications for healthcare
