Technocracy is perceived in this diploma thesis as opposed to party democracy. The thesis tries to contribute to the debate on the decline of party democracy and its possible replacement with another type of government. The diploma thesis uses data from the European Values Study. Binary logistic regression served as a main method of the data analysis and helped to reveal significant predictors of support for technocracy, including variables such as education or trust in government and authorities.
