Abstract
In this article, the author provides information on traditional and new forms of higher education. Recent trends include community colleges offering bachelors degrees and traditional universities expanding continuing education efforts. Additionally, certificate programs, private for-profit colleges and universities, and various forms of learning centers are playing a small but growing role in higher education. The author discusses several issues to consider on distance or other non-traditional forms of education.
