On Amazon EC2 you can run many of the proven IBM platform technologies with which you’re already familiar, including IBM DB2, IBM Informix, IBM Lotus Forms Turbo, IBM Lotus Web Content Management, IBM Mashup Center, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere sMash, and IBM WebSphere Portal Server, WebSphere eXtreme, and InfoSphere DataStage/QualityStage with its corresponding Windows client.
Ibator will introspect a database table (or many tables) and will generate iBATIS artifacts that can be used to access the table(s). This lessens the initial nuisance of setting up objects and configuration files to interact with database tables. Ibator seeks to make a major impact on the large percentage of database operations that are simple CRUD (Create, Retrieve, Update, Delete). You will still need to hand code SQL and objects for join queries, or stored procedures.
This section describes how to build and use the BDB JDBC driver for Android. Note that the BDB JDBC driver cannot currently be built on a Windows platform.
