The design and development of such protective clothing is driven by the choice of materials, as defined by the social, psychological or physiological requirement of user, choice of technologies as defined by desired functionality and ergonomic considerations, assembly methods, sizing and fit. This paper specifically reviews the facemask and respirators with respect to right selection of mask functional, design and ergonomic requirements product development and its characteristics evaluation and test methods and few ongoing researches on filtration of nano sized particle.
