Portions of this markup will be constructed as ontologies, which are formal specifications of a domain. Human interaction with these ontologies will be required in several cases. For example, understanding the particular worldview an ontology represents (i.e., its ontological commitment) will be important in deciding whether to make use of the ontology. This paper describes a tool we have developed which displays differences between versions of the same ontology. It uses the algorithms of a differencing tool, PROMPTDiff, to display changes such as concept renaming and relationship changes. We describe some preliminary user feedback on this work and conclude the paper by proposing some directions for future work in this area.
