equations. Topics include: first order differential equations;
mathematical models and numerical methods involving first
order equations; linear second order equations; applications
of linear second order differential equations; higher order
linear differential equations; Laplace transforms; series
solutions of linear differential equations; systems of
differential equations and their applications; matrix methods
of linear systems, and partial differential
equations. Appendices on Newton's method, Simpson's- and
Cramers' rule, and answers to odd numbered problems are also
included.
