Abstract
We investigate a system consisting of two Brownian particles diffusing over a washboard potential while interacting with each other through a harmonic force. We study the mobility and diffusion of the center of mass of the dimer complex and find that it presents qualitatively different features respect to those of the corresponding monomers. Both the average current and the diffusion coefficient exhibit a complex non-monotonous behavior as a function of the external force, depending on the strength of the interaction between the particle. The origin of these peculiarities are discussed in the light of analytical considerations and numerical simulations.
