Local hypothermia in the correction of motor and speech disorders in children with cerebral palsy
O. Stepanchenko. Zh Nevropatol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova, 90 (8):

Abstract
The article deals with applying low temperature to synergistic muscles participating in the upper extremities' motility and dysarthriae in children with cerebral paralysis. This was a part of combined treatment and rehabilitation measures. The evidence for the beneficial use of sine-modulated currents and functional biofeedback controlling devices stimulating the weakened antagonists and overcoming the arms apraxic disorders was summarized. Positive changes were described in the patients' neurological and logopedical status after the course of treatment and rehabilitation.
