SBA-Pr-Py was synthesized by functionalization of SBA-15 with 4-pyridine carbaldehyde, and then it was grafted by palladium ions to give SBA-Pr-Py@Pd nanocatalyst, which was used in cross-coupling reaction. In this process, aryl boronic acid is treated with various acyl halides using SBA-Pr-Py@Pd catalyst to provide aryl ketones under mild conditions.
