Abstract

A field theory model invariant under supergauge transformations is shown to be renormalizable to all orders in perturbation theory. Renormalization is shown to be consistent with supergauge invariance. It is further shown that only one renormalization constant is needed, a common wave function renormalization for all fields. A symmetry breaking term iis introduced which breaks the symmetry explicitly but so smoothly that the renormalization procedure of the symmetric case can still be applied. Relations among masses and coupling constants emerge. Among other topics discussed, the possibility that the supergauge symmetry is spontaneously broken and that a Goldstone spinor appears is examined.
