This places Iraq at number 17 out of 22 countries in the eastern Mediterranean region. The most common issue with tuberculosis treatment is a relapse after initial treatment has been completed. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines "default" as two months or more without treatment, a correlation between defaulting status and demographic factors such as age, family income, smoking, anti-tuberculosis medicine side effects, and chronic conditions,covd19 pandemic, so The World Health Organization's DOTS strategy must be put into place with the help of all relevant organizations.
