Abstract
In the information society knowledge and creativity of personnel constitute the base of success of any firm. However to large degree knowledge and even more creativity are voluntary contributions requiring significant changes of management behaviour and methodology with a focus on subjective men tal models and emotional factors of behaviour underlying any successful empowerment and enablement of employees. Under these conditions effec tive management is based on a profound understanding of individual as well as social behaviour and on a real esteem for each individual person. Soft skills of management such as authenticity, empathy, enthusiasm or persua siveness come to the fore of leadership ability.
