Abstract
For any student of translation it is of great importance the study of grammatical aspects, both in the source language as well as in the target language. The contact between these two languages may sometimes lead to the production of strange utterances. This article, besides presenting concepts about relative clauses in French and Spanish, shows how students, belonging to three different levels of French, translated into Spanish sentences taken from books in French. It was expected that the higher the level they studied, the better their performance would be. The results of this elicitation technique are presented and discussed. (A.)
