Description

This article looks at research on bilingual education and suggests that the current trend is to look at macro-level data which compare productivity (measured as attainment) between different approaches to bilingual education. Leung argues that information sourced at classroom level is equally important if in-depth understanding of how to maximise the potential of bilingual pedagogies. The first 8 pages of the article deal with macro-level considerations, and I feel that whilst for me this was interesting at a personal level, more concrete examples of bilingual classroom practice could have been mentioned.
