Abstract
The main objective of this chapter is to review the fundamentals of three simple methods of problem solving and presentation of convection in porous media: scale analysis, heat lines, and the intersection of asymptotes method. Another objective is to draw attention to the growing literature that is devoted to the development and application of these methods, see Bejan et al. 5.
