Över the past decade, the business community has been a leader in supporting quality after school programs for young people through the creation of innovative public-private initiatives as well as through private philanthropic efforts. We have made this commitment based on our understanding that quality after school programs are crucial to the business community because they support the needs of the current workforce. Based on our experience, Corporate Voices for Working Families calls on local, state and federal government entities to work together with the private and non-profit sectors to build a quality after school system so that all young people have access to quality programs in their communities."
