Abstract

In this study, the primary school teachers' attitudes towards rubrics were investigated with reference to different variables that are related to their use of these tools. In this survey model study, the data were analyzed through one-way and two-way ANOVA tests. The results of the study indicate that the teachers who consider their level of information on rubrics quite sufficient and those who use the rubrics in order to monitor the development of students' advanced thinking skills as well as in order to give feedback on student tasks have higher attitude scores. Furthermore, the results also show that the teachers with higher number of students and those who use rubrics in order to grade students have lower attitude scores.
