Zusammenfassung

Income inequality is one of the most current issues in the economic, social and political environment. The increased interest in this issue is primarily due to the increasing size of inequality in recent decades, but also to the growing number of mentions of the negative effects of this phenomenon. Increasing income inequality creates direct social costs, impedes social mobility and can also impede sustainable growth, now and in the future. Achieving economic and social policies aimed at restoring and maintaining income inequality within reasonable limits is essential to ensure sustainable and balanced economic growth. The purpose of this paper is to identify and substantiate the complex causes of income inequality, analyzing the impact of inequality on society as a whole.
