The independent variables are remuneration committees and nomination committees and independent variable was proxied with return on equity. The study used Ex Post Facto research design. Regression analysis was employed to test the hypotheses. The result showed that remuneration committee has a negative effect on return on equity, and this effect was statistically significant at 5 level of significance. While nomination committee has a positive effect on return on equity, and this effect was statistically significant at 5 level of significance. It was suggested that the remuneration committee ensure that the appointed board members have an appropriate balance of skills to successfully discharge their duties.
