The insertion of different metals with distinct ionic radii in the MO(6 )octahedra leads to changes in unit cell volume, thus leading to blueshifts in the energies of the Raman active modes. The experimental data are supported by lattice dynamic calculations and the vibrational properties of the carbonophosphates Na3MCO3PO4 are properly described. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V.
