Abstract
We analyze the two-dimensional Wess-Zumino model in a continuum time and finite space lattice. We claim that our formulation preserves supersymmetry algebra. Constructing the Hamiltonian and the supercharges, we show that Witten's index vanishes and there is no state annihilated by the supercharges, which signals the spontaneous breakdown of supersymmetry.
