Abstract
The manipulation school has highlighted the concepts of rewriting and manipulation in the field of translation. However, both notions have been mainly used for analyzing literary translation. This paper discusses a case-study having to do with the translation of a scientific book; more concretely, it aims at analyzing the rewriting and manipulation in the translation of the title of Mithen (2005), an archaeological reference.
