Abstract
An efficient and flexible algorithm is developed for analyzing any plate heat exchanger configuration. Results are presented as -NTU charts for six plateheat exchanger configurations - simple parallel and counterfl ow, 2 Pass/l Pass Counterfl ow, 2 Pass/2 Pass Counterflow, 2 Pass/2 Pass Parallel Flow, and 3 Pass/lPass Counterflow. Effect of number of plates on the performance is investigated, and the use of computer program is recommenaed for selecting the flow configuration and number of plates.
