On the computation of tokamak equilibria with negative core toroidal current

Zusammenfassung

A numerical scheme is presented which is able to solve the Grad-Shafranov (GS) equation in tokamak plasmas with toroidal current reversal for input profiles that are not restricted to any particularly chosen models. Its flexibility is subsequently tested, computing a GS equilibrium with off-axis negative toroidal current density strong enough to generate two nested current-reversal surfaces.
