American Buddha is an Oregon nonprofit corporation with its principal place of business in Arizona. It seeks to provide a unique resource for scholars and students, by providing access to a contained, searchable database of written works spanning centuries. Its database is available through two coordinated websites, the American Buddha Online Library and the Ralph Nader Library. Tara Carreon -- the wife of American Buddha's counsel, Charles Carreon -- is the founder, president, director and sole employee of American Buddha. She serves as the librarian for the American Buddha websites. Ms. Carreon works full time for American Buddha and neither she nor it has separate income. American Buddha has 50,000-plus members.
