Developing with Canappi
Canappi is a modern Code Generation Platform based on "mdsl", an easy to learn and compact programming language: you can write a full cross-platform twitter app in 30 lines of code.
Why we made it?
Building Mobile Solutions can be challenging. To be competitive you need to provide an optimized User Experience, built on sophisticated architectures which are constantly evolving. Canappi helps you identify the best user experience and deploy the most appropriate architecture, effortlessly.
Time to Market
Canappi comes with support for advanced libraries (Graph, Bar Code Reader, Social Sharing ...), a complete Web API Connector Framework and Solution Packs (
Essence
The 960 Grid System is an effort to streamline web development workflow by providing commonly used dimensions, based on a width of 960 pixels. There are two variants: 12 and 16 columns, which can be used separately or in tandem. Read more.
Dimensions
The 12-column grid is divided into portions that are 60 pixels wide. The 16-column grid consists of 40 pixel increments. Each column has 10 pixels of margin on the left and right, which create 20 pixel wide gutters between columns. View demo.
Purpose
The premise of the system is ideally suited to rapid prototyping, but it would work equally well when integrated into a production environment. There are printable sketch sheets, design layouts, and a CSS file that have identical measurements.
We have used Spring Roo in a web project and show how we generated an early prototype and transistioned to early development and then to production code.
Das war mal rapidrabb.it (o.ä.). Mir scheint, so ziemlich jedes zweite innovative Online-Enterprise-Angebot ist irgendwie mit dem HPI verbandelt.

Write HTML? Design user interfaces? Tired of guessing what really works?
Using HTML, CSS, Javascript and our prototype markup language flow, you'll write interactive prototypes instead of static wireframes - producing better results, getting sign off faster, and making clients happier.
The Pencil Project's unique mission is to build a free and opensource tool for making diagrams and GUI prototyping that everyone can use.
Top features:
* Built-in stencils for diagraming and prototyping
* Multi-page document with background page
* Inter-page linkings!
* On-screen text editing with rich-text supports
* Exporting to HTML, PNG, Openoffice.org document, Word document and PDF.
* Undo/redo supports
* Installing user-defined stencils and templates
* Standard drawing operations: aligning, z-ordering, scaling, rotating...
* Cross-platforms
* Adding external objects
* Personal Collection
* Clipart Browser
* Object snapping
* Sketchy Stencil
* And much more...
Licensing and Versions:
Pencil will always be free as it is released under the GPL version 2 and is available for virtually all platforms that Firefox 3 can run. The first version of Pencil is tested against GNU/Linux 2.6 (Fedora, Ubuntu and Arch) with GTK+, Windows XP and Windows Vista/7.
fluidIA is an emerging agile design tool for prototyping rich user interfaces. The big idea behind this experiment is whether we as interaction designers, IA's, UX professionals and developers can create our own prototyping tool in an open way. Provided with access to an open design and open source process, this project kicks off with the following vision:
For application development we use spring and hibernate. For rapid application development there are many pitfalls around. Our mission is to provide a framework that handles all default settings and allows us to quickly start with the development tasks our customers are interested in. So the framework tries to support you by:
* Providing a maven based development environment which uses a proven dependency configuration for fast composition of a working base setup.
* Several utilities were needed during application development extending functions from other utility libraries, e.g. Apache commons.
* Providing a module concept for easy setup and extension of a base application
* Providing reusable and extendable components for common tasks such as application setup, user management, security, history and reporting.
* Providing a base UI implementation based on JSF/MyFaces/MyFaces Trinidad
Where to start
For starting have a look at the quick start tutorial. Within this tutorial a small database application is developed using the most important features provided by the framework.
Java framework for CRUD and Validation.
Crank Google Group for Questions and Such
Crank is a master/detail, CRUD, and annotation driven validation framework built with JPA, JSF, Facelets and Ajax. It allows developers to quickly come up with JSF/Ajax based CRUD listings and Master/Detail forms from their JPA annotated Java objects.
Crank uses a lot of the new JSF features from Facelets, Ajax4JSF, etc. that will be used in JSF 2.0. Crank is a use case analysis of what is possible with the new JSF 2.0 stack.
The validation piece does server-side validation, Ajax validation or just emitted JavaScript validation based on Java annotations, property files, XML files, or database tables. Currently works with JSF, Spring MVC and Spring Webflow.
