Runa WFE is an environment for JBoss jBPM workflow engine. It is a cross-platform end user solution for business process development and execution. Together Runa WFE and JBoss jBPM provide an easy to use business process management system.
Runa WFE is an open source project.
What is this project
Runa WFE provides:
* an end user GUI to define business processes without any coding: draw flowcharts, define roles and variables, lay out forms
* an end user GUI to load and execute processes
* an administrative interface to create and remove users/groups and grant rights
* a possibility of writing automatic "bots" that can participate in business processes
* a possibility to code new GUI elements, variable types, organizational structure functions etc. that extend existing Runa WFE components and will be available to end users through the GUI
Runa WFE makes it possible to integrate your diverse enterprise applications in a unified system, by using "bots" that run inside "bot stations".
When the only thing you've got is a XML Hammer, every solution looks like XML.
The XML Hammer application is a free and open-source tool that simplifies elementary XML actions like checking for well-formedness, validation, transformation and xpath searches using any JAXP implementation.
After all these years of XML, it is still relatively difficult to simply validate or transform XML files. You are currently either forced to use extensive, sometimes expensive, and most often difficult to use tools with a lot of extra functionality unnecessary for these simple tasks and very often not flexible enough to provide what you want, or you will have to be almost a programmer and create your own application or script to handle these elementary XML related tasks.
The XML Hammer tool addresses these issues by providing a free and open-source tool that has a (relatively) simple to use user-interface however still allowing the flexibility for the user to specify anything that he/she would have been able to specify when writing a script for this same task him/herself.
The functionality of the XML Hammer tool is based on the capabilities provided by the Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) and supports the JAXP API as fully as possible. To achieve this, the functionality has been divided into five specific project types:
Juxta is an open-source tool for comparing and collating multiple witnesses to a single textual work. Originally designed to aid scholars and editors examine the history of a text from manuscript to print versions, Juxta offers a number of possibilities for humanities computing and textual scholarship.
Acceleo is the most powerful code generator tool of its generation. It has been designed to improve software development productivity. Acceleo brings to everyone the MDA approach applied to development industrialization
The ActiveBPEL™ engine is a robust runtime environment that is capable of executing process definitions created for the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) standard.
This project contains custom Hibernate and JRuby extensions to let Hibernate work directly with org.jruby.RubyObject objects. That means that the Hibernate session accepts and returns plain old Ruby objects (no intermediary Java domain classes are needed). Another goal is to provide a Rubyish interface to the Hibernate configuration and functionality.
The idea to start this project comes from Ola Bini's blog http://ola-bini.blogspot.com/2007/04/activehibernate-any-takers.html. For more details please see http://rubymatic.blogspot.com.
E-travel is comprehensive framework for delivering personalized travel services using agent infrastructure based on our works in agent-related fields: Multimodal Communication Between Users and Software Agents and Modelling User on the Basis of Interactions with a WWW Based System. The system utilizes many existing up-to-day technologies related to the term of Semantic Web: JADE agent platform together with Jena semantic framework for processing ontology demarcated data. For easy and type safe access to ontology Jastor (Java beans generator from Web Ontologies (OWL)) has been used. Raccoon server provides a way to transform ontological data into browser-readable forms.
Our solution addresses set of the following problems:
* Connecting synchronous HTTP protocol with asynchronous nature of software agents.
* Web browser and mobile interface providing natural access to the multi-agent system.
* Separation of data and view thanks to: Model-View-Controller architecture, ontologies and Raccoon server for transforming data into view.
* Content personalization basen on user modelling, including: stereotyping, user profile learning and exploitation.
Business processes optimization with service-enabled applications is on the CIO's high priority agenda (according to a recent study of Gartner's Executive Program - EXP). At the same time a German study for SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) has confirmed this business need especially for Germany's distinct high share of SMEs.
AgilPro is a process integration framework based on a service oriented architecture (SOA). AgilPro integrates existing ERP (enterprise resource planning), material management and proprietary data processing systems using service adapters. Particularly SMEs are known to use isolated solutions which prevent integrated process flow. AgilPro Integration Framework will help to close this gap.
AgilPro integrates BPEL compliant process engines for process execution (e.g. JBoss jBPM).
The agimatec tools contain some utilities to enable generation of files, source code etc. from sql files and annotated java classes.
The agimatec-dbmigrate tool is a database migration/script execution framework that can execute sql scripts, groovy scripts and provides a lot of features to assist in database schema migration. (tested with Oracle and Postgres)
This is an early implementation of JSR 303 (Bean Validation), a specification of the Java API for JavaBean validation in Java EE and Java SE.
The technical objective is to provide a class level constraint declaration and validation facility for the Java application developer, as well as a constraint metadata repository and query API.
This implementation is based on the validation framework of agimatec GmbH, that is in production for more than a year and offers additional features, like XML-based extensible metadata, code generation (JSON for AJAX applications), JSR303 annotation support.

Akka is the platform for the next generation event-driven, scalable and fault-tolerant architectures on the JVM
We believe that writing correct concurrent, fault-tolerant and scalable applications is too hard. Most of the time it's because we are using the wrong tools and the wrong level of abstraction.
Akka is here to change that.
Using the Actor Model together with Software Transactional Memory we raise the abstraction level and provides a better platform to build correct concurrent and scalable applications.
For fault-tolerance we adopt the "Let it crash" / "Embrace failure" model which have been used with great success in the telecom industry to build applications that self-heals, systems that never stop.
Actors also provides the abstraction for transparent distribution and the basis for truly scalable and fault-tolerant applications.
Akka is Open Source and available under the Apache 2 License.
Java provides a neat way to carry out long lasting jobs without have to worry about threads and hanging the application. It's called SwingWorker. It's not the latest thing on Earth (released with Java 1.6) and you may have already read about it. What I never came across was a practical example of the swing worker.
XPath Explorer (XPE) is a GUI application that lets you interactively experiment with XPath. Basically, you type in a URL (to an XML or HTML document) and an XPath expression, and it displays the elements or attributes from that document which match that
