Studien zeigen: Wind, Wasser und Sonne liefern schon heute die Energie billiger als Atom- und Kohlekraftwerke. Das fällt aber nicht auf. Die hohen Subventionen für konventionelle Erzeuger, die nicht auf der Stromrechnung erscheinen, müssen die Steuerzahler tragen.
Die Strompreise lassen so manchen Bürger an der Richtigkeit der sogenannten Energiewende zweifeln. Hiobsbotschaften über weiter steigende Strompreise durch den Atomausstieg sind Wasser auf die Mühlen der Atomapologeten und der Energiebranche. Die Gewinne der Konzerne durch die Laufzeitverlängerung der AKW wurden nie auf die Kunden umgelegt und solche Geschenke mag man von Unternehmensseite ungern wieder hergeben. Die Drohung mit Strompreiserhöhungen hat jedoch wenig mit dem zu tun, was behauptet wird. (Von Franz Thienel und Sabine Schiffer)
Wofür brauchen wir tausende Kilometer teure Überlandleitungen? Um Strom aus Windparks in Nord- und Ostsee nach Süden zu transportieren? Vor Ort den Strom zu produzieren ergibt deutlich mehr Sinn. Dass das funktioniert, ohne dass der Strom ausgeht, dafür gibt es bundesweit einige Modelle.
Die Förderung für Fotovoltaik wird deutlich gekürzt - für die deutschen Energieversorger ist das eine gute Nachricht: Denn stetig steigende Solarstrommengen stellen sie vor ernste Probleme. Außerdem kommen die Konzerne nun selbst in den Genuss erheblicher Subventionen.
