Es wurde unendlich diskutiert, unendlich verhandelt, bisher ohne wirkliches Ergebnis. Klare Worte kommen vom Bundeswirtschaftsminister: Aus dem Freihandelsabkommen wird nichts mehr, auch wenn es keiner so richtig zugibt.
Jahrelang wurde das Freihandelsabkommen Ceta zwischen der EU und Kanada verhandelt, der Vertragstext liegt mittlerweile vor. Doch ob er auch Realität wird, ist noch ungewiss. Die SPD hat entschieden, auf einem Parteikonvent – einem kleinen Parteitag – über das Abkommen abzustimmen. Am 19. September kommt es zum Showdown.
