Kaboodle is a free, open-source Internet app which provides:
* Complete visualization of your LAN, updated in near-real time.
* A point-and-click interface to take remote-control of what it finds.
* A "personal VPN" capability to securely connect Kaboodle-enabled LANs together across the Internet.
* File transfer, continous network monitoring, and more.
and Kaboodle is optimized for easy use; no TCP/IP expertise required!
(though it doesn't hurt...)
visual guide to Circos A visual guide to Circos (Circos - an information aesthetic for comparative genomics) presents some of the capabilities of Circos and illustrates its application in the field of comparative genomics and genome visualization.
The Theoretical and Computational Biophysics Group is a pioneer in the realm of high-performance computing. To meet our computational needs, we maintain a wide selection of computers divided into four main categories: compute power, visualization equipmen
Agna is a freeware application designed for social network analysis, sociometry and sequential analysis. Platform-independent, friendly and easy-to-learn, integrated visual network editor, html output, free.
Open source graph visualization software. Takes descriptions of graphs in a simple text language, makes diagrams formatted as images, SVG for web, PS for PDF, GXL (XML dialect), and more.
Using RhNav - Rhizome Navigation I wrote a data aggregator for Technorati's API. The first result is a video which visualizes blog domains by analysing Technorati's Cosmos (the blogs which link to a particular URL). The video is a screencast of RhNav fetc
BioImage Suite is an integrated image analysis software suite developed at Yale University. BioImage Suite has extensive capabilities for both neuro/cardiac and abdominal image analysis and state of the art visualization. Many packages are available that are highly extensible, and provide functionality for image visualization and registration, surface editing, cardiac 4D multi-slice editing, diffusion tensor image processing, mouse segmentation and registration, and much more. It can be intergrated with other biomedical image processing software, such as FSL and SPM. This site provides information, downloads, documentation, and other resources for users of the software.
Graph Visualization
Graph visualization is a way of representing structural information as diagrams of abstract graphs and networks. Automatic graph drawing has many important applications in software engineering, database and web design, networking, and in visual interfaces for many other domains.
Graphviz is open source graph visualization software. It has several main graph layout programs. See the gallery for some sample layouts. It also has web and interactive graphical interfaces, and auxiliary tools, libraries, and language bindings.
Professor Rosling from Karolinska Institutet lectures on YouTube about statistical databases, visualization, and our (mis)conceptions about the situation in various countries and continents.
Gabedit is a graphical user interface to computational chemistry packages like Gamess-US, Gaussian, Molcas, Molpro, MPQC, OpenMopac, Orca, PCGamess, Q-Chem and DALTON.
Appunta is a Framework for the Android platform that allows us not only to easily show geopositional information to the user, but also to create new ways of showing this information or modifying the existing ones.
Basically, you have a set of POI (Points Of Interest) located in a map (thus, with a latitude, longitude, and optionally, an altitude), and you need to show these POI and their related information to the user.
Appunta allows you, out of the box, to represent this information in two different ways, a radar or an augmented reality view. But, you can modify these components to show data in other ways or create new ways of visualizing this information.
Appunta is Open Source and anybody can freely use it. So, what are you waiting for?
WebSnapr lets you capture screenshots of (almost) any web page. Let your visitors to instantly visualize any web page before clicking. Increase site traffic, click-through rate and site stickiness.
MindRaider is Semantic Web outliner. It aims to connect the tradition of outline editors with emerging technologies. MindRaider mission is to help you in organization of your cognitive base and associated web/local/realworld resources in a way that enables quick navigation, concise representation and inferencing.
If you need visualization of either simple data sets or complex, time-dependent data from disparate sources, OpenDX lets you easily gain meaningful insight into your data. If you are looking to build visualization applications for your end users, OpenDX h
