Brüssel/Quito. Die Europäische Union und Ecuador haben am vergangenen Freitag ein Handelsabkommen unterzeichnet. Für die Regierung Ecuadors handelt es sich aber um keinen Freihandelsvertrag, wie Kritiker behaupten. Auf der Homepage des Ministeriums für Außenhandel sowie der EU sind die Vereinbarungen nachzulesen.
Seit der großen Finanzkrise wächst der Weltgüterhandel viel langsamer als vorher und nur noch unwesentlich schneller als die Weltproduktion. Ökonomen haben zwei Thesen, warum das so ist.
Das Vertrauen in die Politik bröckelt und einfache Lösungen gewinnen an Zulauf. Der Einfluss von Konzernen auf die Gesetzgebung und die soziale Ungleichheit wachsen. Dazu stehen uns mit zukünftigen Entwicklungen (wie z.B. der Digitalisierung) große Veränderungen bevor. Viel zu viel wird hinter den Kulissen verhandelt - Ergebnisse werden uns als alternativlos präsentiert.
