Die Europäische Union schreitet mit bilateralen Freihandelsabkommen voran. EU-Handelskommissar Karel DeGucht gab sich vergangene Woche vor dem Europaparlament in Brüssel zuversichtlich, dass der Entwurf einer Übereinkunft mit Kanada für ein umfassendes Wirtschafts- und Handelsabkommen (CETA) noch vor dem nächsten EU-Kanadagipfel am 25. September in Ottawa vorliegen könnte.
