The SWRC (Semantic Web for Research Communities) is an ontology for modeling entities of research communities such as persons, organisations, publications (bibliographic metadata) and their relationships. It is used in numerous applications and projects including the AIFB portal, Bibster and the SemIPort project.
Working within the context of a range of metadata related initiatives in Australia and elsewhere, the Recordkeeping Metadata Project aims to comprehensively specify and codify recordkeeping metadata in ways that enable it to be fully understood and deployed both within and beyond the records and archives profession.
The SWAN (Semantic Web Applications in Neuromedicine) ontology is an ontology for modeling scientific discourse and has been developed in the context of building a series of applications for biomedical researchers, as well as extensive discussions and collaborations with the larger bio-ontologies community.
The main purpose of the site is to serve as a growing resource sharing and organizing the work and thoughts on this new direction in computer science for those interested in learning about "Concept-orientation" in programming, data modelling, and system design.
