However, ontology construction remains a very complex and costly process, whichhas hindered its use in a wider scale. This article presents a method for the semi-automatic construction of ontologies usingtexts of any domain for the extraction of concepts and relations. By comparing the relative frequency of terms in the textwith their typical, expected use, the method identifies concepts and relations and specifies the corresponding ontology usingOWL for use by other applications.
