Postgraduate Courses in Audiovisual Translation

Zusammenfassung
Although postgraduate programmes in translation have been on offer at various universitiesfor severa! decades now, there is still a significan! shortage ofcourses dealing with specialized áreas such as audiovisual translation. Un\'ıil very recently, the only training available in thisfieldwasprovidedwiihin the profession, away from the educational centres. However, some universities have now taken up the challenge of developing programmes in various types of audiovisual translation. This article profiles two pioneering postgraduate courses that have been successfully pilotea and run at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona.
