Several Chinese residents are compiling a list of school buildings
that collapsed during the recent Sichuan earthquake, in an effort
to shine a light on any potential wrongdoing by contractors and officials
in constructing the buildings.
Thousands of school children died in the earthquake, during which
nearly 7,000 classrooms collapsed.
Many are questioning why so many school buildings went down while
government office buildings nearby remained standing.
Some netizens started compiling information on collapsed school buildings
as well as government buildings and have asked more people to join
the effort.
