Das von der EU geförderte Projekt SAPIR will eine Alternative zu Google, Yahoo und MSN bei der Suche nach audio-visuellen Informationen bieten. Anders als die Konkurrenz durchsucht die Software nicht nur die Metadaten der Videos oder Fotos, sondern auch die Daten selbst.
