Viele Fälle der organisierten Schwarzarbeit beruhen auf einem gemeinsamen Tatbestand: dem Missbrauch von Werkverträgen, häufig mit illegalen Vertragsgestaltungen.
Wie andere Freihandels-vorhaben wird auch das seit Juli dieses Jahres verhandelte trans-atlantische Handels- und Investitionsabkommen (TTIP) zwischen der EU und den USA mit Wachstums- und Wohlfahrtsgewinnen begründet. Entgegen dieser positiven Darstellung weisen allerdings Erfahrungen mit anderen Handels- und Investitionsabkommen auf eine Reihe kritischer Aspekte und Risiken hin.
Das klägliche Scheitern der neoliberalen Politikangebote wirft die Frage auf, weshalb diese so hartnäckig die europäische Politik beherrschen und ob es daraus einen Ausweg gibt. In den Vorab-Kommentaren wurde einmal mehr das Ende des Journalismus beschworen, sollte sich dieses Gratisangebot durchsetzen – ein Gratisangebot, derer es im Netz ja wirklich reichlich gibt, das sich aber dadurch unterscheidet, dass nun auch noch die Autorinnen und Autoren gratis arbeiten sollen. Das Geschäftsmodell der „HuffPo“ sieht nämlich vor, bis auf einen Nukleus festangestellter Redakteure ihre Schreiberinnen und Schreiber umsonst Inhalte liefern zu lassen – für Ruhm, Relevanz und Reichweite.
Die Arbeit – nicht nur bei SAP - muss umgestaltet werden. Die Ursachen für psychischen Druck und Dauerbelastung müssen endlich erkannt werden. Gegen vorgegebene Rahmenbedingungen und inhumane Arbeitsbedingungen, die Belegschaften durch überzogenen Wettbewerb spalten, kann der einzelne Beschäftigte nichts unternehmen.
In seinem sehr lesenswerten Beitrag regt Richard Hyman die „Wiederbelebung“ der Idee der Wirtschaftsdemokratie an.Der von Hyman vorgebrachten These einer Erosion des Einflusses der Mitbestimmung kann jedoch aus Sicht der deutschen Mitbestimmungspraxis nicht uneingeschränkt gefolgt werden.
Ein „Weiter so“ kann es nicht geben! So lautete die einhellige Antwort der Gewerkschaften auf die weltweite Krise. Eine Zeit lang im Frühjahr 2009 wurde sogar die Legitimation des Kapitalismus selbst in Kreisen, von denen man es nicht erwartet hätte, in Frage gestellt.
Die Debatte um den Wandel der Öffentlichkeit im Zuge der Digitalisierung kreist um zwei verschiedene, aber selten systematisch miteinander verhandelte Bereiche. Einerseits entstehen im Internet über soziale Netzwerke neue öffentliche Räume für diskursive Auseinandersetzungen. Während mancherorts deren fragmentierender Effekt auf die politische Öffentlichkeit beklagt wird, gestehen andere diesen „sozialen Medien“ großes Potential zur Förderung neuer, wenn nicht sogar emanzipatorischer Öffentlichkeit zu.
In den Gewerkschaften wird seit der „neuen Weltwirtschaftskrise“ die Forderung nach einem Kurswechsel erhoben, zu dem auch eine Demokratisierung der Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft zählt.
