The Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation (CESE) was created in 2012. We are the central point of education evidence within the NSW Department of Education, and Australia's first dedicated hub of education data and evaluation.
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) is a global leader in funding, producing, quality assuring and synthesising rigorous evidence. We support studies and reviews that examine what works, for whom, why and at what cost in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs). We are also a global advocate for the generation and use of quality evidence in development decision-making.
We seek to distinguish credible findings of program effectiveness from the many others that claim to be, through an easy-to-read, no-spin digest of recent program evaluation findings.

We champion and support the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes
The goal was to bring the science of learning into the classroom and kickstart the development of easy-to-use professional development materials. We also wanted to collaborate with teachers, and learn from them what was effective, or not, when implementing science-based practices. In other words, we were interested in listening to teachers about implementing the research, rather than telling them what they “should do.”
We aim to change the debate about evidence in education from a focus on quality evidence to a focus on quality use.
In an Australian first, the Q Project’s goal is ‘to understand and improve high-quality use of research evidence in Australian schools in order to enhance the quality of teaching, and ultimately learning for young Australians’.
