ZWrap is a plugin for ZBrush® that allows you to automatically fit a pre-existing topology to your models. With an easy-to-use interface, it greatly speeds up a process of converting your characters and 3D scans into a production-ready topology.
Gibson’s underlying database of spaces includes 572 full buildings composed of 1447 floors covering a total area of 211k m2s. The database is collected from real indoor spaces using 3D scanning and reconstruction. For each space, we provide: the 3D reconstruction, RGB images, depth, surface normal, and for a fraction of the spaces, semantic object annotations. In this page you can see various visualizations for each space, including 3D dissections, exploration using a randomly controlled husky agent, and standard point-to-point navigation episodes
This tutorial aims to encourage creative coders to consider Blender as a platform for creating 3D artworks. Blender can be daunting to learn, so this primer is written for those who’ve tried their…
Nop Jiarathanakul online portfolio. I love making things, especially beautiful 3D applications. I like WebGL, shaders, three.js, typography, and indie rock. My background is in computer graphics, games, and animation.
Announcing the SUMO challenge - a contest to encourage the development of algorithms for complete understanding of 3D indoor scenes from 360° RGB-D panoramas with the goal of enabling social AR and VR research and experiences.

A pair of mathematicians has built on an obscure, 30-year-old mathematical theory to show that soap-filmlike minimal surfaces appear abundantly in a wide range
Spinning objects have strange instabilities known as The Dzhanibekov Effect or Tennis Racket Theorem - this video offers an intuitive explanation. Part of th...
This site contains many samples and prototypes that I have developed. All the code for the samples are available on bitbucket and people are free to do with it what they will. Ideally its best if you use the latest version of the Chrome browser, I tend to use the latest available APIs and features as I prototype and learn new subjects.

GPUs are designed to do many things well, but drawing transparent 3D objects is not one of them. Opacity doesn't commute so that the order in which you draw surfaces makes a big difference. Of course simple additive blending does commute, but it's not really what we think of as "transparent objects". The simplest way to draw transparent objects is from back to front via the painter's algorithm. In this approach we sort geometry and draw only from back to front. This requires sorting triangles, which, in add

Proteins play countless roles throughout the biological world, from catalyzing chemical reactions to building the structures of all living things. Despite this wide range of functions all proteins are made out of the same twenty amino acids, but combined in different ways. The way these twenty amino acids are arranged dictates the folding of the protein into its primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structure. Since protein function is based on the ability to recognize and bind to specific molecules, having the correct shape is critical for proteins to do their jobs correctly. Learn more about the relationship between protein structure and function in this video.
