Die Stadtbibliothek im mecklenburg-vorpommerschen Malchow hat eine überschaubare Stammleserschaft. Wenn nicht gerade die Dorfjugend DVDs ausleiht oder die älteren Damen nach „was Romantischem“ suchen, dann hat die Bibliothekarin ihre Ruhe.
Nachdem ihr das Herz eines Mordopfers implantiert wurde, träumt die schüchterne Bibliothekarin Anne (Mädchen Amick) plötzlich leidenschaftlich von einem unbekannten Mann. Als sie in Alexander (Tom Schanley), dem reichen Witwer der Organspenderin, ihren Traumhelden erkennt, schmilzt sie dahin und verwandelt sich zunehmend in eine Kopie seiner toten Frau. Dabei begibt sie sich in tödliche Gefahr, denn deren Mörder wird immer noch gesucht.
Zurück in Barcelona allerdings ist alles wie gehabt: Vicky vergräbt sich in Bibliotheken, bis sich ihr bieder-bemühter Zukünftiger für einen Kurzbesuch ankündigt. Und Cristina beginnt mit Juan Antonio eine weitere Beziehung voller künstlerischer und sexueller Ambitionen.
Noch ist Ingas kleine Welt in schönster Ordnung. Die junge Frau sitzt in ihrer Bibliothek und weiß für jeden Besucher das richtige Buch zu empfehlen. Manchmal stürzt sie sich mit ihrer Freundin in den eiskalten See. An Selbstvertrauen scheint es der Ostdeutschen nicht zu mangeln. Bis der Besucher aus dem Westen auftaucht.
Naumburg (ms). „Deutschland liest - Treffpunkt Bibliothek“ heißt die bundesweite Aktion, an der nahezu alle Bibliotheken erstmalig in diesem Jahr in der Zeit vom 24. bis 31. Oktober teilnehmen. Unter der Schirmherrschaft von Bundespräsident Horst Köhler sollen die Bibliotheken als kulturelle Einrichtungen in den Mittelpunkt gerückt werden. Von Lesungen über Ausstellungen und Informationsveranstaltungen wird den Besuchern dabei eine ganze Menge geboten. „Der 24. Oktober ist schon traditionell der Tag der Bibliotheken“, erklärt Sabine Matzner, die Leiterin der Naumburger Stadtbibliothek. „In diesem Jahr gibt es erstmals eine ganze Woche zu diesem Thema.
