The Zika in Brazil Real Time Analysis (Zibra), a project that went through six towns of the Northeast with a mobile laboratory of genomic analysis, to conduct research on molecular epidemiology of zika virus, was in Salvador on Sunday (12/06). Partnership result between Fiocruz Bahia, Evandro Chagas Institute, Ministry of Health and universities in the UK, Canada and Australia, the goal of Zibra is to expand the genomic mapping of the virus to determine the origin, genetic diversity, and epidemiological aspects, helping in combating the epidemic, during a public health emergency.
